>Who cares about the investigating portion?
A strange attitude to have about a detective game. But retards don't exactly think coherently.

Ah, what the hell:
Acre Crisis
Among Ashes
Dead of Darkness
Evil Tonight
The Fear Business
Fear the Spotlight
Fobia St. Difna Hotel
Hollowbody
Lunar Eclipse
Lamentum
Last Half of Darkness
Midnight Special
The Mute House
Suffer the Night
Vaccine Rebirth
You Will Die Here Tonight
Yuppie Psycho
Zero Protocol
Ghost at the Dawn is probably the scariest of those listed, and it's actually getting a sequel. Does scariest mean best? Who knows. Acre Crisis is pretty darn difficult. Is hardest the best? Who knows? Lunar Eclipse has the most attractive female protagonist. Is prettiest the best? who knows? Vaccine Rebirth is very underrated and has a very unique gameplay element sort of unseen in the survival horror genre. Is originality the best? who knows. The Mute house has a game length puzzle with no handholding and if you don't realize you are supposed to be paying attention, you're so fucked when you get to the end. Suffer the Night was also pretty scary, actually, but I didn't like the invisible enemies. I've never liked invisible enemies! not now, not in daymare 1994, not ever.
