Day 29

I entered the Pokémon League with my loyal six at my side, ready to face Hoenn’s ultimate challenge. Sidney went down without much trouble, but Phoebe pushed my team harder. Then came Glacia, and the cold crept into everything—I honestly felt like my balls were going to freeze. It was brutal, and I came close to losing team members. Against Drake, the pressure was immense. I tried setting up Altaria with Dragon Dance to outspeed and use Ice Fang, but Salamence was too much. I had no choice but to switch out and sacrifice Mightyena to protect the rest of my team. It was a painful loss, but I emerged victorious and reached the final test: the Champion, Wallace.

The battle began. Breloom opened strong, using a series of Sky Uppercuts while dodging Blizzards, eventually taking down Wailord in a single blow. Manectric followed, paralyzing Milotic and blasting it with Thunder for a clean knockout, though it took some damage. Then Gyarados appeared. I needed time to heal Manectric, so I made the hardest call—I sent in Camerupt, who was crushed by Earthquake. But his sacrifice gave Manectric the opening to return and one-shot Gyarados with Thunder.

Breloom handled Whiscash effortlessly with Giga Drain. Swampert took out Tentacruel with Earthquake. Then came Ludicolo. Altaria used Fly, but Ludicolo’s Double Team and Leech Seed turned the battle into a nightmare. To save Altaria, I switched to Swampert, sacrificing my first-ever Hoenn partner. Ludicolo still clung on. I rotated between Altaria, Manectric, and Breloom to reset Leech Seed, but during the cycle, Breloom fell too.

In the end, Manectric paralyzed Ludicolo, and Altaria finally landed two Fly attacks in a row, finishing it. With just Altaria and Manectric left, I stood victorious. I was now the Champion of Hoenn.
