This fest had by far the most questionable decisions by devs. You can get in one single demo now.

Like, if you're going to enter one of these, shit you should be avoiding

>Your game runs like shit
>Advertising your demo is timed; it just pisses people off
>No resolution options or insanely limited; not everyone is using big screens
>Controls that literally don't work
>Doing no testing at all; it took me < 5 mins into a run in one game to clip through the map and softlock the game so hard I had to force close it. I pressed 1 button.
>No trailer video
>A trailer video that's literally just the devs speaking, because you have that little faith in the gameplay (a trailer made largely of panning shots of the world and cutscenes is fine though, even though i don't like them, most people do)
>Not looking at other games in the same genre and making sure you at least have the basics; I was so fucking confused when I played an FPS and they didn't even show ammo on the hud. Its the most basic shit.
>Unskippable cutscenes; most people will just close the game before its over
>No tutorial if your game plays weirdly, but also
>Don't make the tutorial super slow and plodding
>If your content is placeholder... why is it in the fest? Ie king static. 2/4 weapons are 'placeholder'. Put it off 'till next fest then.
I have to assume this was the least succesful next fest in history for getting downloads and wish lists. It was genuinely shocking how many of them had gigantic fundamental flaws literally anyone on this site could point out instantly. The majority of games I saw had 0 community posts or just ones complaining about issues like the above.
