I think screen faces look weird irl. Our brains aren't used to seeing flat faces. Personally I would prefer a segmented but visibly mechanical humanoid face complete with mechanical eyeballs, or a mask/helmet for a face. Companies have been playing with animatronics animating latex faces since the 80s but it isn't my thing.
