So confused. If this ‘Eastern Buddhism’ is supposed to be an amalgamation of taoism, folk religion, confucianism, and buddhism, then why is there a separate religion called the three teachings (which represents something similar)??? What is the point of it, couldn’t they just name the former as the latter? What is the point of calling it eastern buddhism??
