I owned a Triumph Thunderbird that used to get flats constantly. I have no clue why that bike attracted nails and screws so much more than any other bike but it was definitely not a confidence. One time I hit a screw and lost air really fast, had to pull over at a gas station which was miraculously close by. Got the tire fixed. Next day the tire was a little low again and I thought the plug was leaking and shoved another plug in to double stuff the hole. Checked that it wasn't leaking, reinflate, and went for a ride. Then in 15 minutes the tire was low again and I realized I had hit a second screw on the way home the previous day and the tire had two holes.
