He's probably very happy considering that so few people in history are able to spearhead their own cartoon, especially one that's very unique in concept (I am not going into execution because lmao). Contribution though is a vastly different breakdown because arguably he's the essence of the show, for better or worse.

From what I can get is that you're saying he never had experience as a grunt (or not enough of it) and that being an immediate king of the mountain ended up detracting from his work because he thinks he can do no wrong since he's never seen wrong from a lower perspective to being with?
If so I can get that, reminds me how someone said Star Wars gets dragged across the decades and the consequences of doing that is that current Star Wars no longer draws inspiration from samurai and westerns, but only its own lore, and because it draws from itself it loses its original inspiration and ends up becoming this cannibalistic mess that only references itself while forgetting the roots of drawing inspiration from many things and transforming it into something unique.
