Yes anon, it is pretty easy to heal when yoiu have poise on an endgame build and high ADP.
But I'm talking about people in the early-midgame who didn't adjust to slower heal times at all
>but muh Lifegems
they take a fair while to heal any large chunks of damage without popping several at a time, which ends up being about the same speed as an Estus

no, I'm talking about the fact that there are like three or four levels in the game that are somewhat plausible as 'real', lived in areas based on the lore of where they are and laid out as such (even with it being fantasy)
>No Man's Wharf
>Forest of Fallen Giants
>Shrine of Amana
>Brightstone Cove Tseldora
Even in those areas it still feels pretty stark compared to DeS or DaS1.
Rest of the game feels like you're playing a 5th or 6th gen console game where the theme for an area is represented as 'here's an open area or corridors with a different skybox'. Iron Keep is literally a Mario level. To be honest it does have its charm, it reminds me of the stuff I played as a kid if it had modern hardware and online functionality behind it. But it's clearly a step down from the other games where it feels like a tonne of thought went into making something that both played well and feels like an actual world with history in every nook and cranny.
