Nvidia's generic RT looks super ass, it just splooshes lighting around without any care for angle, obstructions or proper object context. IRL its very hard for light to reflect off stuff, it's why it looks so different when you go from out on the street to a pristine mall full of reflective surfaces. The world is not a mirror.

This is why games from around the 2015-2018 era are still the most realistic games, because complete GI became standard as a feature in most engines while devs still had to manually decide how materials and surfaces would interact with the lighting.
