Ironically you're just like him. He is trying to ignore his symptoms to avoid facing mortality which just makes everything worse. You are trying to keep him alive to avoid the pain of his death and/or the pain of leaving your family, and use his behavior to avoid accountability for your own situation/feelings, which just makes everything worse.
To let him go would be to own your own life. That's hard because there's nobody else to blame anymore.
And that's why I tell you to grow the fuck up.
You're a man now. He has no power. He can't hit you anymore. He's a cancer ridden shell of his former self.
Now is your time, as it should be between father and son.
Take what's good that was given to you and make the best of it.
Take what's bad that was given to you and master it so it doesn't ruin your one and only life.
Women and children react and complain. Men choose.
Life hurts nigger. Nothing's free. Your freedom has a price. Right now you're choosing shackles because you don't want to pay that price. I'm not gonna judge you for that, other than the fact that you seem to be rejecting the fact that your life is exactly what you've chosen.
If you don't want to deal with him, go. But don't keep pretending he's happening to you -- even if that was the case in the past. Right now, you're happening to him. Every word you speak to that man or hear from him is your choice.

All I want to do is keep voting for the party that will give us constitutionalised freedom of speech. Yet the only one I ever saw do that was the Brexit party back in the day.
