If you know the series you know this and Erik were some kind of allegory for white nationalism or white racism.
It's all cringe and not able to be trusted at face value simply put.
The comment Erik makes in the train car and that weird skull pile ritual scene are all extremely suspect.
All these characters having blonde hair and blue eyes etc. is not a coincidence either. I don't trust any of this shit. So many things in the movie had double meaning just like the first film.
