What the fuck were Garland and Boyle thinking?
They're old, spent and bitter and can't get anything "original" made so they just retread old ground and shit on what they made in the past as some kind of "fuck you" to the passage of time. This movie destroyed everything that made the original movie's mythos and premise so innovative and gripping and just turned into Crossed but with an arthouse veneer.

>>213367808 (OP)>I will climb that tower
There’s only one black guy in the whole movie. And he’s two meters tall and runs around naked the entire movie with his dick out, and they call him ‘Alpha’. What was Danny Boyle trying to say with that? He even gets a white zombie pregnant.
>>213371282Kinda funny though. I thought the drama aspects of the movie were way better than the vampire stuff. The movie would have been a lot better as a straight drama.
So how did that doc survive the first moments of the apocalypse? He covered himself in jodium or some shit but how did he even found that out?

Yea, im disappointed. The trailer made it out to be something completely different then the end result. Even if 28 weeks later was boring and uninspired at least it had a consistent tone and took itself seriously fuck. Modern cinema is DEAD.
>>213373942Ultimately, it doesn't matter. Boyle and Garland didn't care about adhering to what they themselves established 22 years ago. They just wanted to make a pastiche trilogy full of ideas from canned projects they couldn't make under the guise of being in the 28 Days universe. It's a schizophrenic, embarrassing mess made by two creatives who couldn't care less about what came before, and what they established. wtf
>>213374959Sort of. If they'd run with the early part of the film it would have been a decent but not particularly interesting zombie post-apocalypse film. If they'd made it wacky and offbeat like they did in the second half it could have been an interesting arty-farty film with a unique take on the zombie post-apocalypse genre. But they smashed the two together in a huge "fuck you" to the audience, discarding any intriguing ideas along the way and ruining any potential either approach had, unless of course the sequel manages to make it make sense (it won't).

>>213376908The ending isn't why the film was shit. The whole thing did feel like a deliberate insult to fans of the original, but what the paedo power rangers did was no worse than Selene hacking her partner to death with a machete in 28 Days Later, and the danger of infected blood was explicitly pointed out in an earlier scene when Spike wiped blood off his mother's forehead before it could reach her eyes, so it's not like they just forgot about it or were being inconsistent with the series.

Why the fuck are the zombies magical with superpowers? The first movie was really grounded and the virus acting very similar to rabies. Just make it more infectious to increase the stakes. Have someone cause an outbreak because they forgot to boil their tea. Create tribal warfare over the limited resources. >>213374392>a helicopter chops up zombies like a weed whacker, 28 weeks was utter slopI lowkey loved that tho
I liked the shota and Kick-Ass segment of the movie and wish that was the whole film. I didn't care at all for his mother and found that entire storyline cringe and embarrassing. At least Kelson trolled them both and just killed her and made her into a skull lol.
The soundtrack is kino

>>213371282>If people actually knew what they were getting into with these filmsI think you're probably the only person on the planet who didn't know what he was getting into with Sinners.
>>213367808 (OP)Nobody could answer this for me last time I asked: Where did all the infected come from in 28 Years?
28 Days' ending and 28 Weeks (all of it) both showed that the infected were 99.999% dead (and survivor camps had long been evacuated). The country was dead, maybe a few thousand holdouts.
Then the London fuckup happened, and maybe ~1-5k infected were released out of London. Maybe it's these ones that got the super-rage virus (giving them basic social behavior, alpha mutations, the knowledge to hunt and gather), but either way how did ~3000 turn into the possible millions that exist in the country in 28 Years?
There's a shitload in the middle of bumfuck nowhere up north. Where did all the people appear from?
>no humanitarian groups air dropping food for starving Britons
A little unrealistic no?
Are Swedish people really that fucking cringe and weird?
This movie is no masterpiece but I will always respect it for making smoothbrains scream, piss and shit their pants. Amazing how the normie brain can't stand a little bit of creativity in front of their retarded eyes
>>213396467They get mad when their slop isn't predictable
>>213396467Why does Ryan always look so fucking smug?
>>213396497he probably saw his future at a young age
