I agree with a prison sentence but yeah 4 years is extreme. 1 year would have been fair. The general public have whimsical minds so they will cheer punitive sentences on every time. I do consider myself an environmentalist (nature, trees, the ocean... not the CO2 propaganda) so I'd be the last person to be saying their sentence was unfair if my mind was as infantile as 99% of the human population. Mass unprecedented deforestation happening across the world, the congo basin, the amazon. No politicians give a shit. First thing Labour did when they got in was to free up the green belt for building, so that's more deforestation at home

That modern leftists, who are overwhelmingly pro-corporate, can get behind. None of these politicians are environmentalist in practice, they couldn't care less about plants trees and wildlife. But they go on about CO2 so they get to be pretend to be green. Any decent person is environmentalist in nature, doesn't want pollution, doesn't want animals going extinct or deforestation. But all we get from politicians and corporations is CO2, we are so entrenched in propaganda and so far post-truth society that you could hang all the evidence in front of everyones faces and no one would give a shit kek, people just say and do what is popular not what is right, but yeah they have the audacity to give those lads 4 years for cutting down a tree (they are arseholes for doing it, but the sentence is silly) when our politicians are cutting down trees all across britain and in the green belt to build deano new build estates which is a band aid for our immigration numbers, many bird species already down as much as 90% in the past century. These demons do not care about nature or the environment and the CO2 fraud they push on us is the big smoke screen while they continue to destroy nature and the actual environment
