I don't know too much about the history of Walhalla but I suspect it's probably something along the lines of

When Rome was rediscovered, everyone started buidling like the Romans.
When Pompeii was redisocovered, everyone started designing interiors like the Pompeians.
When Greece was rediscovered, everyone started building like the Greeks.
When Egypt was rediscovered, everyone started building like the Egyptians (well actually that last one didn't catch on quite as much)

Maybe it was around that time that Ur was rediscovered but don't quote me on it
