Nah I didn't even bother theorizing till chapter 2 when we actually had some meat on the game. I'm more thinking it since we seem to be going in a "reverse of undertale" direction, have been told to "Make a new future" on the outset of Deltarune, the Prophecy which is binding our actions ends badly, and Noelle is... weird... and has gamebreaking powers. Makes sense we'd use her to break *something* important so we can actually change things, or something like that.
