I started playing it again after the demo and I'm having fun like I always do on my occasion return, these days though I find it impossible to stick with anything with so many character choices. Something I always struggled with and it's more overwhelming than ever now, especially with a lot of them feeling like they kind of overlap on gameplay mechanics.

Yeah, I didn't hate the demo and I still had fun soloing blood lord on delia but it just feels not as fast. Maybe it's the attack speed removal but there were other things too like the removal of stamina leading to delia not having her alternate smashes and all of the "oomph" of waiting on that falling comet every time was gone (not to mention without attack speed getting fallen comets off is borderline impossible, I was spamming her second smash so much)
I'll be honest some of the characters I've been trying in OG I'm straight up dying already in season 2. With the story skipping they added that lets you just jump straight to the primary bosses of each episode it takes like 3-4 hours to get to season 3 but even some of the stuff in season 2 like Ikrium and the random sirens were actually almost one-shotting me, had to actually dodge and play the game (or chug pots I guess)
Even season 1 stuff like lionotus and ingkells took a minute or two to kill, it's nowhere near one shotting them. I keep seeing people say it takes 20 hours or whatever and that's nowhere near true as someone who's gotten to season 3 like 4 times in the past few days. It gets plenty fun plenty quickly if you ask me, at least as a long-term player who knows what to expect.
God damn if the characters aren't fucking beautiful in Defying Fate though. I wish we could get that kind of upgrade from shitty ass ancient source because holy fuck the visuals and physics are on a new level, it's honestly hard to go back to the dress-up of OG.
