It's not really "submissive" to not want to turn the person you love into a weapon. Like I said, she's not a cold fish like Makima, but that doesn't mean she's not domineering. She's always the assertive one in her interactions with pretty much anybody, but obviously she'd like Denji to be more assertive too, to resemble her ideal of how a Devil should act like.

That was more like ignorance on her part because she only ever saw the surface of the Chainsaw Man.
All of her actions followed a cold logic for the most part and she didn't show much variety in her emotions. Meanwhile, we can see Yoru go through an emotional turbulence in just a couple of pages, from hate to pity to love to embarrassment to sadness and finally trying to be uplifting.
That's where the Makima claim just loses me, she basically wears one expression throughout the whole manga.
