if youre a salesman its all about charisma
if youre a tech, you very rarely see the customer and all the mechanical jargon you throw at them just goes over their head (also youre usually covered in oil and stinky so dont want to talk to people)

90% of people coming into a dealership already know what they want, its basically just your job to sell them addons
go and (unironically) watch some Rory Sutherland talks about sales and psychology, it'll unironically be more useful for you than actually learning your trade
