If there's one thing in XVI that is undeniable, it's music. There are some really good ones for sure, but it's also really, really long and padded with background/ambience. XIII is a lot more like one of the old OST's, around 80 tracks and very well paced around scenes/battles with good variety. Lots of ambience and some padding too, but way more standouts overall.
