At least for my particular family, there's no element of fear or jealousy that demands perfect exclusivity and emulation of traditional ideals of human courtship and marriage. Maybe the white picket fence ideal summed up by the word "waifu" itself and its derivation from wife does work for some people, but at the end of the day it didn't for me when I really thought about it. Among me and my horse family, it's well understood that we all love, and love together in a chaotic, disorganized way that doesn't rely on any particular social enforcement or contract. Twilight is certainly extremely close to me, but to us, that doesn't mean that that closeness should come at the expense of shutting others out. Rather, we're all here, together, and happy, and that chaos borne of pure love sparks all sorts of creativity and fortitude, keeping the entire community I hold dear close and happy rather than instilling an atomizing mentality of exclusivity and rugged individuality. In my opinion, that spirit of very deep cooperation can result in far greater achievements than limiting oneself to a much smaller personal world. In essence, friendship really is magic: a state of harmony isn't reached by rigidly following a rulebook about how to live, but by living in the flow and living harmoniously.
As for what I have been up to materially, Erisfag and I are indeed close friends, and we're on the verge of starting a new business. Oldfags might remember some of my old posts foreshadowing a robopone business (>>40591053), eventually culminating in the creation of a beautiful crown jewel to celebrate the accomplishment (top of >>40585705). Suffice to say that the time for this is getting to be very close at hand, and going forward I'm going to be extremely busy and have even less time to drop by than I have had recently. We've already been hard at work laying the ground for this, and I just happened to have a short lull and felt like I should drop by to say hi, probably for the last time in a long while. I think that a lot of you will very pleased to see some of what comes off our drawing board before too long.
Eris and Erisfag also say hi; they contributed to this text wall.

This is exactly the kind of thing I look forward to in these threads. Looking forward to seeing more about it.
