What is most likely to maximize happiness for individuals can be different from a group so I can only imagine you disagreeing with me through your use of a political philosophy that inappropriately generalizes human nature as a whole. In other words I know happiness and principles are not mutually exclusive yet you aren't just agreeing with me so I assume you aren't working from the angle of solving contradictions on a case by case basis and have something other than just maximizing happiness in mind when you say we ought to do good.

I feel like I've seen you appreciate history and human struggle significantly more than I do. Yet if I had it my way we would be brains and mouths connected to food and an endless upply of dopamine for an eternity, if we had to exist. And I don't *think* you want that.
