Honestly Penders' run on Sonic is the thing I'm most conflicted about. It's the weakest of all listed but the fact it had an actual legacy within the Comic industry to survive cancellation numerous times and lived long enough to be poisoned by Ian and Archiefaggotry proves they were onto something. I appreciate it for daring to be a story about something written by an author with clear themes they wanted to address. It's the beginning of deviation from Actual, Existing, Sonic the Hedgehog but it isn't total slop. Most people agree the first fifty issues of Archie are a pretty good self contained run. The series lost its way over time and Archie being a terrible company didn't help matters.
