Xbox premiered the brown and gray everywhere, Snoy had the PS3 built with arcane magic so things had to be tinkered to work on it and had way too much bloom (while heavily promoting photorealism and distancing itself from its older cartoony IPs), and Nintendo opened the floodgates to even more casual people forcing the raising of the buy & sell standard bar.
