I understand where you're coming from since im plat 2 atm but you are doing disservice to actual plat players
Im not saying we're anywhere good compared to the other higher elos, we still commit A LOT of mistakes, but ever since getting to my rank, as a jungler, i've noticed a lot more people actually leaving their lanes to help/contest objectives, supports actually successfully roaming, more actual support picks instead of damage mages, respecting calls/warnings, thinking about enemy jungler's pathing, warding/dewarding more, midlaners ganking etc.
Again, you will still have braindead people that are playing like a bronze/iron but there are A LOT more people that seem to actually be thinking about what they're doing compared to the lower ranks

But we are basing it off the actual playerbase, are we not?
Sure, people below masters can be considered bad because of their combined lack of game knowledge and fundamentals or not successfuly utilizing it, but if we take the whole playerbase into the account, if you're better than 75% of the playerbase and in a higher rank than them, does that not mean you're in a higher elo than them?
I am genuinely asking.
