theres not exactly a lot of literary analysis in the anime community. also, i am willing to blame a lot of this on translations. japanese and the romance languages have nothing in common, so there will be transliteration errors in any attempt.
that being said, yes, the quality of dialogue is typically lower than you'd expect.
translated light novels read the same way to me. they seem juvenile, with limited vocabulary and strange phrasing. i read a lot of European and American fiction as well. novelists sre just better writers than Japanese light novelists, imo.
