I am an ignorant, ordinary person and my life is a complete, insane mess so my statement should be taken with a grain of salt.

Astral projection is a funny, interesting thing but what about the whole psychological structures that we have inside us? Astral projection won't solve those. It's those structures that are responsible for all the illusion and ignorance in our lives, the ways we think, feel and react. How we understand - how we create - the world. If we die while these structures are still intact, and if we are conscious after the death of the body somehow - then these structures, which foster our attachment to ourselves and to existence, will influence us to at the very least keep existing in a conditioned manner by those same structures. So we either dissolve these structures right now while alive, or we are going to keep being conditioned by them, and simply astral projecting or fleeing through a white tunnel won't solve anything. We will keep being born because we are psychologically conditioned to do so.
