I started reading Moorcock about a year ago and his work is an awesome piece of inspiration. Because his style of worldbuilding is much more ad hoc and less structured than that of Tolkien and his books are generally short and very dense with things happening constantly, I found that they lend themselves perfectly as guidelines on how to write TTRPG campaigns.
They're also largely divorced from Tolkien's fantasy template, making them feel fresh to most people by default.
