Yeah, as time has went on I've went from generally leaning towards honorifics belonging in the same camp as the retards who'd just leave shit untranslated for no fucking reason, to thinking maybe honorifics were better off being left in after all.
Replacing them with something that will always work (ie; Midori calling her "older sis") or something is just as stilted as leaving in the fucking honorifics and like you said, there's even worse shit than that.
