I remember seeing posts about this double boss being hard, but it wasn't that way at all to me. You could stun them both at the same time, they were weak to physical, and hitting both filled up your spirit gauge instantly. Not only that, I was underleveled so I got a level up from each one.
This game doesn't require you to constantly forge and upgrade new equipment, even on hard.
