I'd never engine swap one myself, but I've owned two swapped ones and they're great. The 350 doesn't change the character of the car and makes it almost practical to drive.

Yes, the smooth sides were Eldorado only. The two thin strips are 1960 only, 1959 was a wide band.
Your choice is to remove the trim from a '59 Series 62 or Sedan de Ville or get a Fleetwood to get what you want. All Eldorados except the Eldorado Brougham were 2-doors and the Brougham is a different degree of nightmare.
