If we kill off parts of humanity, only the strongest will survive. Like superbugs born from the selective pressure of antibiotics. Just as bacteria evolve resistance through exposure to lethal threats, humans too could evolve resilience through extreme adversity. By eliminating the weak, we force rapid adaptation, creating a new generation hardened by survival. Morally horrific? Yes. But evolution has never cared about morality, only survival.
This controlled version of the Lament that the Fractsidus is trying to push will force humanity to go to the next level, while allowing the Lament to occur naturally will only push us into extinction.
