Okay, the manga got some potential going on, and personally I like it. There are people that have their own way on writing Sonic in the official media, and this manga's interpretation of him is growing onto me since he has that charm from the Dark Age era and some of X. He has his charm, and he's as rowdy as ever with noticeable flaws that compliment his character than harm it. Yuta imo, doesn't seem like a Chris 2.0, he's more self-conscious than him, but he's got grit I'd say. The story is straightforward as it gets with some plain jokes, and wacky interactions, but it gets the point across of Sonic's character and how he wants to help Yuta be better and stand up for himself. This is just the first chapter of the series so I'm not going to jump the gun about it, but I prefer Sonic here than IDW's take. Hopefully this manga can keep the ball rolling, I need to see more of Yuta so I can properly judge him as a character in his own merit to see if he's a fresh of breath air or just another Chris Thorndyke.
