Wouldn’t it have been more interesting if Necron was just a distraction and Calyx had another way to get the cup? Our character and the player themselves can have a moment of hubris thinking Calyx is a dipshit for summoning a punching bag, then he flips the script and it turns out we fell for it. Idk, he was written to be a smart character and his plan was straightforward with a very easy exploit for his defeat. Bad writing.
