Not the anon you're replying to but it really makes me wonder what in the world the consequences of weird route is going to be in the end. Everything surrounding it has been so ominous that I can't help but think it's going to be BAD- and since these characters are much more grounded compared to UT its going to hit harder.
My favorite idea so far is that the game will just straight up stop working and soft-lock you somewhere, but with the scene in Chapter 4 with Noelle becoming another vessel(?) maybe it'll end up being that you do actually sacrifice everyone else.
