I don't like the idea of FE6/7 being put together in a remake in the slightest. But I think the only way to do that "right" would be to make Lyn the only romantic option for Mark, (who still wouldn't be playable) and focus on how their relationship progresses during the game.
Still, I don't see IS doing this because that would require a minimum of competence to not be trash.
