>Traditional basic pumps, both hand and feet operated are garbage.
Anon, I fully understand where are we now, what kind of thread, but hear me out: they're garbage because you're buying garbage. My Decathlon track pump, not their cheapest one, 500 series; that I bought for 25 Euro three years ago inflated hundred of tires at least. And it works exactly the same as the day I bought it. Even more, if the head goes out -- and it might, there's a rubber ring inside that gets poked by a valve -- I can swing by another decathlon and buy a new one for basically nothing.
I don't know what kind of "German pump" you've got, but I would fully trust Decathlon, SKS, SIlca (if you're a Mr. Moneybags), Unior or Park Tool. Now this chink crap is almost guaranteed to be garbage. Maybe Rockbros or West Biking one would survive for some time, but not this noname landfill.
