it did but the way the game was structured, a hero pvp, made it very hard for anyone to really care
from what I remember basically there's these crystals that are good for innovation but by the same token its very dangerous, so there 1 group opposing said innovation, and the other that is for it, there's also a 3 faction consisting of demons, and some other minor factions too
