the people making them are just retarded and lack common sense to such a degree

so many resources and manpower go into those games and all they have to do is not step on the official game's toes, instead they're like, 'yea! we're remaking a game we don't own from the ground up! we're taking liberties with the established canon too! look at us! share with all your friends! we do what nintendon't!!!'
