As an entitled survivor main I would normally say because they need to keep making P2W killers that have no actual counterplay other than shift+w and prethrow pallets but in this specific case I think it could just as easily be a "survivors will leave a strong pallet to get clown's hate buff" level of retardation and not playing their own game and they genuinely believed survivors would leave a gen and fiddle around on a camera for 20 seconds to reveal his aura even though
1. anyone who can live in chase against him that long doesnt need to read his aura
2. it's extremely high risk low reward for the survivor
3. it's not any actual meaningful interaction and trade off between the one doing it and the killer like how Sadako's tapes are so it's just something solo queue gets no value out of
