Would I look like a dork wearing a straw hat in a place people normally don't wear straw hats (but probably should because it's the prairie and gets very hot and sunny in summer)?

It's a shame, large brimmed straw hats would be great in the summer around here but you'll look like a total dweeb wearing anything but a baseball cap around here for anything but the two weeks the rodeo comes to the city.
