The signifiance of the perfect organism should be that of a primordial soup and DNA itself. Practicing dark arts akin to a Lich for good in reviving the dead hence the Necronomicon inspiration.
Skeletons and metal mix exceptionally well, Giger got lucky. Skeletons & guns. But when it's white or yellow it looks like easy to break porcelain, resin, silicone. Perfect fit for Hollywood's props. The skull looks realistic because it is an actual skull. Many people kept faking bones.

The Alien has always been in that "I thought it was more serious and down to earth" problem where the Alien people supposedly wouldn't accept GI Joe, Command & Conquer and Superman tier abilities despite them accepting many other things.
They're afraid of the atmosphere of it feeling like a campy GI Joe organization for 12 year old appeal and they much appreciate the silly wagecuck Weyland Yutani and Nostromo's coddled up pillows like you're in a mental asylum...
Blomkamp would have made a living Dark Horse comic book. Similar to how Warframe is a hedgepodge of Star Trek, Star Wars, Warhammer 40k that nobody can figure out what direction and atmosphere it wants to go for.
I do not speak for that anon for I refuse to defend people who do not know what they want just like I'm tired of artists taking credit for my interpretation of their art... I'd grab the atmosphere and world design of Blame! I would have liked Alien 3 & 4 to be The Shawshank Redemption levels of good.
Ironically from rewatching Alien 1 & Alien 2 I have noticed how wholesome it is, one of the most wholesome horros possible ... even the video games had the balls to kill the cat and kill the lady setting off the self destruct sequence because that's normally what happens in horror ... Alien 1 & 2 are as anti horror as they come, that's why everybody hates Alien 3, it's a prison story with the atmosphere of a prison, not Disneyland.
