I can understand this. I am even a fan of IDW1 MegOP because they felt deeply depended on each other and the pairing was aggressively hinted, in a fun way I mean. And the end is so bittersweet that I would love to see more fan interpretations and AUs of it. Legends and Cyberverse MegOp was great too.
But in the last years I grew a bit tired of the ship, especially since it's everywhere, no matter the continuity. It's even among the most popular ships for series in which OP and Megs' only interaction are a few villain vs hero one liners. I can kinda understand why Megatron fans would love to see something else already. I have already seen people hyping up Skybound for MegOp and they didn't even talked to each other yet.
