They do have friends, but those are made in school, or when doing your conscription. MAYBE in the workplace, but probably not.

If you do not make friends there, or lose contact, or move away. You have no friends, and you will not have friends. Probably this way around the world, but culturally, I feel as though it is more reserved making it even more difficult.
