Was anxious about calling my dad for his birthday, but my folks called me and ripped that bandaid off sooner. Wish they'd stop asking about my fiancee like they didn't stab her in the back.
Busy day today, going to install a bidet, clean up the house a bit, unpack some, get a library card, and run errands this afternoon. Should be able to chill tonight, have a drink, and check in on a buddy who's dealing with a lot of shit I can resonate a lot with: poor guy is depressed because his work is BS and provides no meaning, his bosses are childish idiots, and he feels like he's drowning himself in distractions to feel meaning elsewhere. Hoping he and I can forge a way to push each other to pursue a passion that gives us purpose.
