modpacks are diabolically overcomplicated to make. i spent a whole month trying to revert the latest minecraft version a couple years ago, to make it like classic/alpha/beta while still having compatibility for the latest mods.

most overcomplicated shit ever, would be easier to just make my own game from scratch.
