I think the problem is that books are rarely updated for a modern audience. Movies get a remake every 10 years but a book will stay the same for centuries. I personally find old ways of speech to be really unpleasant to read so when I see something like any of these gay holy books I say no thanks. I'm not taking advice from some conman from 1000+ years ago or whatever scheming jews took over the religion in the mean time. If they would rewrite all of these old ass books in the common tongue of the 2020's then they would be a lot more viable as an entertainment product. Give me an AI generated movie about Jesus doing Jesus things but set it in modern day with normal speech and make things plain with none of the bullshit fake magic. Just make Jesus a normal relatable dude who has some good advice about chilling instead of being a chimp.
