fucking christ these games are so fucking slow.

and i don't mean performance. just entering battles, initiating conversations, using a move, EVERYTHING TAKES FOREVER.

going from fastforwarding on earlier gens on an emulator to this is major whiplash. i enjoy the openworld but man is it held back by the slowness.
