Okay I'll bite. One isn't superior over the over. Gothic has the same gating with powerful enemies. Does that detract from the game? No. Usually you'll follow the dotted line but once you replay the game, you learn you can have a lot of different paths to get to Vegas.

Fallout 3 is more open ended, yeah. But is it even worth it, when all the quests are absolute dogshit and the worldbuilding retarded?
