I love the dynamic that it fosters. Friendly sibling rivalry/banter and Sage being enamored by Metal's seniority. Though while Metal has no emotional capacity, im sure he's happy to a degree to have an actual person to interact with that isnt just Eggman/Orbot/Cubot.
