Genshin has actually jumped the shark with this. Archons, Harbingers, and everyone else has been confirmed to not matter one bit in the grand scheme because the climax of the story will be about the Traveler beating some universe destroying beings via asspull, probably by absorbing all the gnoses and some abyss energy like another anon said. Hoyo is going to regret this, because now there is 0 reason to ever pull for characters whose entire hype is their power again, like Neuvilette, unless they're at least at Hexenzirkel level.

This has also ruined their chance continue the story on another continent on teyvat's planet, because presumably in the climax of the story the traveler will get an asspull powerup so big it makes any sequel useless.
